You have rifled through dress, after dress, after dress; and still have no clue which outfit you should have your daughter wear for an every day occasion. Is it too much to ask for something slightly more rugged than a pastel princess dress? Well, it isn’t too much to ask; as camouflage prints begin to take the lead on one of this year’s most popular prints; there are many retailers offering a more rugged dress for your little girl. These dresses aren’t only adorable, but many are made from more durable fabric such as canvas or printed denim; which as you might know equates to much more fun that your child can have.

You may not think that a camouflage dress sounds… adorable.. However, I would beg to differ; as many designers have taken a creative spin on your traditional olive drab print, and have brought it over into the here-and-now with infant dresses. The most commonly found cut of camouflage dress is your standard A-line, which will allow for a lighter flow of the heavy fabric. This of course is always going to be a great shape on nearly any infant girl, as their shapes are generally similar. Despite the public demand of camo print dresses for little girls; you may not be as lucky to find one at your local baby retailer; instead you may need to go to a specialty shop nearest you or online to find that perfect fit for your little girl.

Camouflage dresses can be found in many different colors; breaking free of the traditional colorations of olive drab, greys and whites. Some of these dresses can be found in rich burgundy hues, blacks, vivid pinks, neon blues, and even your more standard pastel colorations of powder pink, sky blue, and even lemon yellows. One thing to keep in mind however, is the more out-there that the color is; the less availability there is to find accessories that will help to tie your outfit together.

Once you have chosen the perfect dress for your little girl, you will then need to find a few accessories for her outfit. Many retailers will offer several options for you to dress this outfit up, such as tights, shoes, hats, and jewelry to be combined with this adorable little outfit. However, one thing to remember; is when you are working with such a bold pattern as camouflage. You should never over-do this pattern, as it can easily turn a potentially adorable outfit into a mess. With a camouflage dress, you may wish to select a solid-color tight, a matching or accenting patterned shoe, and some solid colored pieces of jewelry or hats. This will help to tie the camouflage throughout the outfit; without going over-board.
