Looking for an old PC video game?
I remember playing this side-scrolling shooter game with my cousin on his computer when I was a little kid. It had this humanoid horned demon-like creature, and a man in a t-shirt with a gun. We were playing on split-screen, if I remember correctly. Anyway, I believe you could customize your character’s color palette. And I remember the demon saying in a guttural voice “Poison bad!” when he’d run through this green liquid.
