Why are most pajamas (for children) made of 100% polyester instead of cotton?
I hate the pilly polyester. Cotton is much softer. Just wondering….
I received some hand-me-downs for my toddler and I just don’t want to keep the polyester stuff. Is anyone with me on this?
Part of the reason is it’s cheaper to make. Another reason a lot of manufacturers use it is because it is far less flammable than cotton. Natural fibers burn easier unless treated, and back to the money issue, treating them to resist burning costs the manufacturers more.
